The annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade brings thousands of people for a day of parade floats, green beer and dancing. DANBURY U p north is the unincorporated community of Danbury, but don’t let the word unincorporated turn you away. Danbury features a state-of-the-art casino with modern dining and lodging experiences, a favorite outdoor sports shop with a lit- tle bit of everything, a quaint little winery tucked away to the east, unique food stops and so much more. Their newly reor- ganized Chamber of Commerce hosts several events includ- ing the new Jordan Buck Day in September. GRANTSBURG J ust over the St. Croix River, minutes from the Wisconsin/ Minnesota border lies the Village of Grantsburg. Featuring some of Burnett County’s favorite attractions, Grantsburg is home to Crex Meadows Wildlife Area, the Burnett Dairy Coop- erative, Grantsburg Historical Museum and the county’s only brewery. The community also boasts access to the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, a robust silent-sport trail system and world-class events like the World Championship Snow- mobile Watercross. To the south, you’ll find the Trade Lake region, home to the Fish Lake Wildlife area and endless op- portunities for outdoor recreation. COMMUNITY the heart of SIREN C entrally located, Siren is the hub for lodging and shopping in Burnett County. This small town boasts adventure, arts and amenities - and does it ever deliver. With an active Cham- ber of Commerce, there is always something going on in Siren. CROIX CHIPPEWA INDIANS OF WISCONSIN T he St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin are a major economic and cultural force in Burnett County. With tribal communities in Danbury, Big Sand Lake, Hertel, Maple Plain and more. The tribe hosts a variety of community events, in- cluding a Pow Wow. The St. Croix Chippewa own and operate Southwinds Plaza and Fourwinds Market Complex in Siren and state-of-the-art casinos in Danbury and Hertel.
