Bike or hike Burnett County’s 20 miles of the Gandy Dancer Trail and keep a lookout for new trails springing up each year, including the Timberland Hills Mountain Bike Trails. The Dogtown Cluster, Big Bear and Keizer Trails are special- ized for fat tire and non-road bikers. Fish, swim or boat over 500 lakes and 14 rivers, including the wild and scenic St. Croix National Scenic Riverway and the Namekagon River. With over 185,000 acres of public lands, find the perfect spot to hunt and bring home your trophy. With eight wildlife areas, including Crex Meadows and the Namekagon Barrens, birding enthusiasts from around the country travel to Burnett County to see some of the most unique and beautiful North American birds as they migrate each season.
