Whether you’re looking for ATV/ UTV and snowmobile friendly trails or hiking and bik- ing experiences, you’ll find everything you need in Burnett County. No matter the season, our trail systems do not dis- appoint. Following the path of a former railroad corridor, the 98- mile Gandy Dancer State Trail passes through the heart of Burnett County. The Gandy Dancer is a great trail for all levels of enthusiast, open to hikers and bikers year-round and snowmobile riders in the winter. With a limestone sur- face and level grade, the Gandy Dancer, aptly named after the railroad workers, is a great trail for those looking to get away and experience nature stretching from south of Siren through Danbury. As if theGandyDancer wasn’t impressive enough, Burnett County is home to over 300 miles of groomed snowmobile trails, over 60 miles of summer ATV/UTV trails and over 75 miles of cross country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking trails. From Brandt Pines, Crex Meadows, Grantsburg and Sandrock Cliff Trails to the west, Forts Folle Avoine Trail to the north and Timberland Hills, Voyager Village and Webb Lake Trails in the east, those looking for a picturesque path can find it in Burnett County. New trails are being developed all the time, including the new Timberland Hills Mountain Bike Trails. The Camper Cabin in the rolling Timberland Hills area includes a half mile hike, home to a secluded cross-country ski area and is located next to the Ice Age Trail. Webb Lake is home to fat tire bike trails, Dogtown Cluster and Bear Lake Loops Trails that are perfect for biking, hiking and snowshoeing. The Keizer Trail continues to grow mile-by-mile for moun- tain bikes and includes logging roads, double and single track trails and more! It boasts two primitive campsites as well, plus two more campsites in 2025. With over 111,000 acres of Burnett County Forest Land, you can find numerous horseback and biking roads, trails and fire lanes throughout the County. Embrace your in- ner Jim Jordan as you trek down the Jordan Buck Heritage Hike, a self-guided walking tour of Jordan’s legendary hunt. Follow in his footsteps down 1.3 miles of the Gandy Dancer, starting at Blueberry Junction Park in Danbury. Wherever the trail leads you, be sure to stop and enjoy the beauty of the landscape and take a pause to let nature do its job.
